Could we use cheaper waxes in our candle making? Sure, but when we started testing our fragrances and burn times, we kept coming back to our beeswax ones as they lasted a bit longer, and smelled a lot better. Something about the way beeswax is produced seemed to line up with our mission statement as well. Bees spend days meticulously making their honeycomb and filling it with honey then capping it off with their very own wax. We love the faint honey smell you get from melting it down, and it always adds a unique twist to all of our oils. We wanted to work just as hard as the bees do in bringing you a candle worthy of their wax and that makes our perfectly balanced and all natural wax.

We here at man made candles love a great smelling candle. Not only does the warm crackling sounds and candle light have a natural soothing effect, but the idea of only natural ingredients being used makes us feel better than other popular alternatives. Far superior to air fresheners that can leave your room or clothes smelling like rotten flowers after time, the wonderful natural scents in our premium wood wick candles fill the room and don't leave anything behind once extinguished.

All of the materials we use in our candles are found right here in the U.S.A. All of our wicks, vessels, waxes and fragrance oils all made right here in America. Our beeswax is responsibly and ethically sourced from bee hives locally, when available, and throughout the United States when its not. One of the many tasks in saving the bees is turning over the hives removing the wax and honey to keep the bees happy and productive. Although it might make the bees temporarily upset, it does not affect the sustainability of the hive.
